Meet the Quartet
Cheryl
Brusket (Lead) lives in Salem with her partner of 12 years, and
works as an insurance administrator for Kantorosinski Chiropractic.
Music has always played an integral part in her life. She played the
violin throughout her entire scholastic program, sang in various choirs,
and directed her high school band. She has served as the past assistant
director, choreographer and section leader for the North Shore Chorus of
Sweet Adelines. She is currently lead section leader and front row
dancer for the Sweet Adelines International medalist Coastline Show
Chorus. When not singing barbershop, you can bet she's singing Karaoke
somewhere! |

Karen Rourke

of www.singingsingles.net,
a resource and relationship site for singers. Karen is the past director
of the Merrimack Valley Chorus of Sweet Adelines as well as the Sounds
of Concord Chorus and the Lowell Gentlemen Songsters of the Barbershop
Harmony Society. She was a co-founding director of the group now known
as Boston Jazz Voices. She has also sung in quartets with the Frolickin’

the TV round of "Community Auditions". She later recorded an album of
original songs and performed at local coffeehouses. After getting her
college degree in Health and Fitness, Ruth competed in several
bodybuilding contests. She has done several radio jingles, weddings, and
has sung the National Anthem at the Worcester Centrum for hockey
games. She performed with In Sync for seven years and the mixed
quartet Up All Night. When not singing, Ruth is a
boxing fitness instructor and lives in a log cabin with

Julie
Jeffery (Baritone), lives in Stoneham, MA, and honestly didn’t think
that people would continue reading this far down the page. The other
three in this quartet have all sung the baritone part at one point in
their lives, but Julie has stuck with it. In addition to singing all of
the leftover notes, she’s responsible for blowing the pitch and
frequently acts as the quartet’s MC. I mean, with all that
responsibility, don’t you think she deserved to be placed higher on the
page? In her professional life, Julie works as a reading specialist in
the Reading, MA, school district; prior to that she worked for ten years
in educational research. Julie is currently singing baritone in the
Coastline Show Chorus. Prior to singing with Coastline, Julie was an
eight-year member and baritone section leader of the Liberty Belle
Chorus. Julie's previous quartet experience includes singing with
Moment's Notice, Region 1's 2002 Novice Quartet Award winner. |
